Mylène Tax
Full time artist & catlover

I am Mylène Tax, a Dutch artist based in Goes, creating expressive artworks that balance realism, atmosphere, and emotion. My work is inspired by memories, everyday moments, conversations, and the traces people leave behind. I’m drawn to capturing scenes that feel personal, nostalgic, and alive.

Art has always been at the center of my life. I opened my first studio at the age of 22 and now work from my home studio together with my partner and our two Maine Coon cats. With a background in graphic design, I combine technical precision with a strong visual and storytelling approach in every piece I create.

Alongside my own artistic practice, I also give painting courses for beginners and creative enthusiasts who want to explore different materials and techniques in an approachable and inspiring way. In my classes, I encourage experimentation, personal expression, and finding joy in the creative process, whether working with acrylics, watercolor, or oil pastels.

On Instagram and TikTok, I share behind-the-scenes moments from my studio practice, work-in-progress videos, and glimpses into the inspiration behind my work. It’s a space where you can follow my artistic process and experience the stories that shape my artworks.
